Jimmy Fallon has found himself on the receiving end of a sexual-discrimination complaintbrought by a former stage manager who claims he lost his job because “Jimmy preferred taking directions from a woman.”
Seriously?
In documents filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New York Division of Human Rights, Paul Tarascio alleges he was discriminated against by Fallon and his staff discriminated by being demoting and then fired as stage manager despite 14 years of experience in the job working with predecessor Conan O’Brien. The action claims that Tarascio was replaced with a less qualified woman.
“It’s a tough thing for him to be told that the reason why he was being moved from one position to another was that Jimmy Fallon preferred to take direction from a woman,” Tarascio’s attorney, Dominick Bratti, tells E! News.
Per his complaint, the technician did not follow the rest of CoCo’s crew to California to work on The Tonight Show but instead was hired on as first stage manager by Fallon after he took over Late Night. A few months after the show’s launch, in July 2009, Tarascio says in his filing that he was informed that he was being demoted to second stage manager based solely on the host’s gender preference for the No. 1 position.
After months of wrangling back and forth over what he felt was discriminatory action, Tarascio claims he was then let go in March on the basis of “fabricated performance issues.”
Bratti says that more than anything his client just wants “his job back,” but if not, he’s going to ask for redress via the EEOC and seek damages.
No comment as of press time from Fallon’s camp, probably cause he’s getting ready to host the Emmys next month.

According to Star, when Ali met the Arizona Cardinals quarterback at a July 15 at a charity event, sparks flew after they talked “by themselves.”
By the end of the night, the douchemeister scored Ali’s digits: “Matt finally asked for Ali’s phone number and she happily gave it to him,” a witness says.
“He promised that he’d call her; she must be over the moon about catching the eye of such a hot guy!” Well, unless she’s engaged, of course.
There are rumors if her rejecting both guys, or that Roberto Martinez proposes, but they didn’t make a go of it and she’s already single again.
We also theorize that perhaps she still hasn’t decided.
Guess we’ll find out soon enough … and we may very well be surprised. But we would be astonished if Matt Leinart were at all a factor in this.
Is Clooney dating a cokehead? Elisabetta Canalis is all over the news because of the whole coke bust she was allegedly involved in.
“I have heard that Elisabetta is distraught but that George is standing by her,” Milan socialite and party girl Francesca Biagini told E! News. “In Milan, everyone is talking about this. It’s a huge scandal and we think more celebrities will be named.”
“Elisabetta was a regular at Hollywood in Milan for several years,” she said. “She’s friends with a lot of the models who live in the city. I last saw her there at a birthday party last year for the captain of AC Milan. I never saw her doing cocaine, but she’s always the life and soul of the party. She’s a fun girl.”
If you were worried that Lindsay Lohan was getting the VIP treatment in prison, don’t be. The star’s mom Dina, who visited her yesterday, says it’s not true.
Dina went to see Lindsay with her sister Ali Lohan and her ex, Samanthan Ronson, then slammed reports that the 24-year-old is enjoying perks behind bars.
“She doesn’t have cell phone privileges, that’s absurd,” Dina said, referring to reports no one actually printed. “She doesn’t even have a pillow to sleep on.”
Aww. Sad. They can’t even touch each other, either!
“I talk to her through glass. There’s a phone and we put her on speaker. I can’t even hug my daughter,” Dina laments. “She’s treated like a common criminal.”
Which she is. One who drives drunk and recklessly, then can’t even make it to one freaking alcohol education meeting a week. She got hers. Just saying.
Dina acknowledged, however, that Lindsay is being treated well: “I have to say that the people inside have been pretty cool to her, guards and the inmates.”
The Mean Girls star has been behind bars since July 20. The date of her release from jail is still unclear, although it is likely to be sooner rather than later.
Whenever she leaves, the star must report to rehab immediately. Her lawyer is trying to get her a temporary delay before checking in, but don’t bet on it.
In any event, Lohan will likely be out of the slammer in under three weeks. Not bad for a 90-day jail sentence. Hopefully it’s long enough to learn a lesson.

George Clooney’s girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis has been implicated in a sex and drug scandal after an escort claims she snorted cocaine with the Italian television personality in a Milan nightclub linked to a high-class prostitution ring in 2007.
Two years ago, authorities began investigating two Milan nightspots that were allegedly running an escort-and-prostitution ring fuelled by alcohol and cocaine. The clubs — Hollywood and The Club — were regularly frequented by celebrities. According to model-turned-hooker Karima Menad, 26, Elisabetta took the drug twice while partying at The Club.
“I remember taking cocaine with Elisabetta Canalis and two others. We were in The Club and it was December 2007. We had been at a party of some famous, rich celebrity whose name I cannot remember. I don’t remember who brought the drugs but we all took it,” Menad told prosecutors in 2008, a year before Canalis, 31, began dating the Oscar-nominated Clooney, 49.
Canalis — a former showgirl — is a host for MTV Italy.
