50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson III, started off his celebrity career signing to Chris Lighty’s Violator Management and Sha Money XL’s Money Management Group after Eminem heard him rap on CD. His first album Get Rich or Die Tryin in 2003 sold 15 million copies worldwide. His follow up album in 2005, The Massacre, sold 11 million copies worldwide.
Next 50 Cent started clothing line G-Unit partnering with Marc Ecko in 2003 which in 2008 was reported to have annual income of $75 million dollars.
50 also has his own video game and of course signed a contract to use his voice on 50 Cent: Bulletproof, which was released for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and the PlayStation Portable.
50 started G-Unit Records under Interscope Records who artists include Young Buck and G-Unit.
50 bought into Vitamin Water by reportedly 10%, helping to create a flavor named after him called Formula 50 and when it was sold to Coca Cola for $4.1 billion, after some major stake holders were paid off, he reportedly made in the $100 million range in 2007.
In 2008, 50’s annual income was more in the $30 million dollar range, but the entrepreneur always has his hands in something. 50 is now selling 3D sunglasses with company GUNNAR Optiks that run from $70 to $200 in price.
50 cent’s net worth is estimated to now be in the range of $500 million dollars.
50 said it best on his next album, “I took quarter-water, sold it in bottles for two bucks,” he rapped. “Coca-Cola came and bought it for billions. What the [expletive]?”

50 Cent may be in trouble with the SEC over stock tips he gave on Twitter.
After tweeting to his 3.8 million followers, “You can double your money right now. Just get what you can afford.” 50 Cent’s new venture penny stock company H&H Imports went from 10 cents to .39 cents a share. Doesn’t sound like a lot, but 50 owns 30 million shares so that tip made him a cool $8.7 mill.
According to an SEC rep, “we can neither confirm nor deny” an investigation into 50’s stock tips is taking place. 50 has since taken the posts down.

50 posted this pic on his Twitter page yesterday of himself shoveling snow saying, “I got 4 people on one street to agree to my fee after they saw the first job I did. Now I’m looking for employees.”
Looks like the business is going well so he said,”I’m paying 30 dollars and hour I only want 3 workers that 90 dollars and hour but I think we can do all 4 in a hour in a half. Lol”
Hm… don’t know about you, but we’re holding out for a job with Weezy!

50 Cent’s house in Farmington, Conn. was broken into this morning and both men were arrested on the scene after security guards became suspicious that something was going on.
One smooth criminal was found hiding in a closet and pounding down a bottle of 50’s wine. It’s a wonder police were able to find him.
Both guys were in possession of marijuana (or maybe salvia?!) and are being held on $50,000 bail.
The suspects just said that they were huge fans and just wanted to “hang out” at 50’s house for the thrill of it. One of the suspects sisters says he could still be in jail and miss his baby’s first Christmas. Wow. No comment.

The Twitter war is on.
Smartass Chelsea Handler started the feud when after hearing word about Nick Cannon doing a comedy show, she Tweeted, “I just heard nick cannon s starting a comedy tour. Who’s going to do the comedy?”
Hahah of course Cannon couldn’t just let that slide so he posted about eight Tweets dissing her and then said, Everyone knows @Chelsea handler had sex with the head of E! for her show. So when its canceled does he get residual pussy for the reruns?”
“Just talked to @50cent He said he made @chelseahandler get G-Unit tattooed on her balls!”

Random couple alert! MediaTakeOut is reporting that 50 Cent has been hitting Chelsea Handler up via Twitter asking her for a date as well as mentioning her in interviews.
They were seen this weekend having dinner at MiMi’s in New Orleands and even though they came in separate cars, the source says, “it was definitely a date”. They were also seen together in a hotel lobby in Nashville… hm.. did the meeting move from the lobby?
Chelsea had comedy club dates in both Nashville and New Orleans.. think 50 will be following her to any more cities?
