Akon is a world famous rapper and record producer. He was born in St Louis, Missouri but lived in Dakar, Senegal until he was 7. Akon was discovered in 2003 after spending some time in jail. One of his big first releases was “Locked Up,” off the Trouble album. His next album called Konvicted (sensing a theme?) featured the single “Smack That,” which won
him a Grammy Award. Akon is also a self proclaimed polygamist, currently working on marrying his fourth wife, although he has been banned by his record label from talking about it. Akon has worked with such singers as

Akon has already confessed back years ago that he is a practicing polygamist, but his record label basically banned him from talking about it for fear of a backlash. He originally spoke out on it to Angie Martinez on the radio in NYC and said, “I’m a polygamist. I can afford to have as many wives as I can afford to have. All Africans believe in it. My dad has four wives.”
After that, things started to get a little heated and that’s when Universal decided that he should keep that little detail about his life to himself. Akon has had three wives up until this point and he tried to add a 4th, but Rachel Ritfeld left him at the alter back in 2007. The pressure of sharing him with three other women plus five kids was too much for her. She said, “He does not live with his wives but the birth of his latest child made everything become real and made me realise that I would always have to share the man I love while accepting his other relationships.
But now it looks like Akon may have found his fourth true love and future wife. She is a stripper who goes by the name of Unique and is going around Atlanta telling everyone she is his fourth wife.
