Eminem and Elton John collaborated way back when. Not only did it lead to an unlikely friendship, but also some interesting wedding gifts.
Elton John was asked by UK’s Telegraph newspaper why he performed at Rush Limbaugh’s wedding since he is against gay marriage. By the way, Elton John is gay, in case you didn’t know.
Elton said he did it to hopefully change Rush’d mind and brought up Eminem as an example:
The tide can change, he says. He faced similar criticism in 2001 when he joined Eminem on stage at the Grammy awards, ignoring the controversy about the rap singer’s allegedly homophobic lyrics. Eminem has now come out in support of gay marriage. ‘For our civil partnership present he gave David and me two diamond-encrusted c***-rings.’

In the LOL category this morning, Nick Cannon saw MC Hammer’s beef with Jay-Z this week and decided that he and MC Hammer should challenge Enimem and Jay-Z to a boxing match!
Hey at least Nick has a sense of humor about the whole thing, because he knows he does not have much of a shot! HipHopWired reports Cannon not only started a Facebook page called Nick Cannon vs Eminem but also Tweeted this, ““I’m on some Harlem Nights type sh!t I’m putting my money on @Eminem to win!! LOL…One things for damn sure @Eminem has way more fans than I do! They go hard! I don’t want it with #Teamshady LOL.”

Eminem has a crush on Rihanna and wants to date her.
The rapper, who recently recorded a duet with the star entitled ‘Love the Way You Lie’, has a crush on the Barbados-born singer and his grandmother Betty Kresin thinks they would make a great couple

Betty told Heat magazine: “I can totally see what any girl including Rihanna would see in him. He’s so charming; he has always had adorable, beautiful blue eyes and this charming, wonderful smile.
“Rihanna would make a suitable partner for Marshall. But he needs to enjoy life and not get carried away with any relationships at the moment.”
Rihanna and Eminem, real name Marshall Mathers, are reportedly in constant communication, but for the ‘Umbrella’ singer – who is dating baseball star Matt Kemp – their relationship is purely platonic.
A source said: “Marshall would date Rihanna in a heartbeat if she showed even the slightest interest. They’re on the phone and texting each other constantly.”
Rihanna, who was assaulted by then-boyfriend Chris Brown in February 2009 – recently admitted she felt “connected” to the lyrical references to domestic abuse in ‘Love the Way You Lie’.
She said: “It’s something that, you know, we’ve both experienced on different sides, different ends of the table.
“Eminem pretty much just broke down the cycle of domestic violence and it’s something that people don’t have a lot of insight on.
“I knew if he sent me a record there must be something to it. It couldn’t just be, ‘Oh, duh! She was in that relationship so we have to get her.’ The lyrics were so deep, so beautiful and intense. It’s something that I understood, something I connected with.”

Apparently, Elton John has been key in helping Eminem recover from his addiction to prescription drugs.
“I’ve been helping Eminem over the last 18 months and he’s doing brilliantly,” said Elton, who has his own issues with substance abuse.
The rapper had his first stint in rehab in 2005, in which he almost overdosed on methadone. It didn’t stick and by May of 2009, he developed a habit that led him to taking nearly 20 Vicodin, Ambien and Valium a day…. Jeeezus!!
“I’m there if people want my help. If people ask for help you tell them where to go but there’s no point advising people if they don’t want to do it,” continued John.
We hope the best for Eminem in his recovery.. Drug addiction is a real bitch.
