amd handcuffs Black Teen Charged W/Hate Crime After Beating White Man Listening To Rap, Telling Him White People Shouldnt Listen To Rap Music

A 14-year-old faces a hate-crime enhancement charge after Palm Bay police said he carried out a racially motivated attack on a 22-year-old man for listening to rap music.

The teen was taken into custody late Monday and charged with battery after Palm Bay police were called to investigate a disturbance near the intersection of Port Malabar Boulevard and India Lane in the northeast section of the city.

Hate-crime enhancement means the first-degree misdemeanor battery charge could be elevated to a third-degree felony because the youth showed “extreme prejudice against the victim because of his race,” said Yvonne Martinez, spokeswoman for the Palm Bay Police Department.

The victim, who is white, was walking along Port Malabar listening to rap music when he saw the suspect and a group of other youth,” Martinez said.

The 14-year-old, who police say may have known the man, told the man to stop listening to the rap music, “because he was white,” and that, “white people shouldn’t listen to rap music,” Martinez said.

“(The victim) then told them that he could listen to any kind of music he liked,” Martinez said.

The teen struck the victim in the face as the other youth encouraged the attack, police said. The beaten man escaped and contacted police. He later identified the teen, Martinez said. The teen was then booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

The state attorney’s office will review the charges.

White people shouldn’t listen to rap?  Ok, the day white people stop buying rap albums is the day every rapper in the world goes broke.  Think before you act idiot.

A family is celebrating after discovering the daughter they were told had died in a car crash is alive after a hospital mix-up.

However, the news meant heartache for the parents of the girl’s best friend – as it emerged it was their daughter who died in the accident.

Abby Guerra’s funeral was due to take place today after her parents were told she had been killed in the crash along with another friend.

However, on Saturday, hospital officials in Glendale, Arizona, announced the 19-year-old was alive and in a coma.

A mix up at the crash scene had led to the talented young football player being mistaken for her best friend, 21-year-oldMarlena Cantu.

Abby had suffered severe head injuries, a broken back and punctured lung and was unrecognisable due to facial swelling and having her head shaved for a brain operation.

Marlena’s family had maintained a bedside vigil after being told she was in a critical condition while Abby’s friends and family were told to prepare the teenager’s funeral.

Staff at Evansville College in Indiana where Abby was a star member of the soccer team posted an online tribute as they mourned her death.

It wasn’t until dental records were finally checked that authorities realised there had been a mix-up.

The young woman lying in a coma in a Phoenix hospital was Abby while Marlena had died at the scene of the crash.

The victims had been returning from a trip to Disneyland in LA when their 4×4 suffered a rear tyre blow-out.

Tyler Parker, 20, also died at the scene.

Abby’s aunt Dorenda Cisneros said the family was overjoyed she had survived, but felt sympathy for the Cantu family.

I mean, you’re ecstatic for one – I mean, it’s a miracle – but in the same you feel angry, because we mourned all week,’ she said.

Colleen Donovan kept a vigil outside what she thought was Marlena’s hospital room.

You’re not looking for differences,’ she said.

It didn’t look like anyone I’d ever seen.

‘Every day her parents went to the hospital having hope that she’s living one more day, then to find out it’s not her.

And Abby’s parents, too. They’ve gone through all these emotions, and now they find out she’s really alive. Abby still has a struggle to survive.

The mix-up mirrors that of another mistaken identity case involving two girls in the U.S. in 2006.
Whitney Cerak, 20, was thought to have been among four students who died when their van crashed in Indiana.

But five weeks after the accident, the family of another student, Laura Van Ryn, realised the hospitalised young woman they thought was their daughter actually was Whitney.

Soo sad!!

12 University Student, 21, Eats Every 15mins To Stay Alive and Weighs The Same As An Eight Year Old

22 University Student, 21, Eats Every 15mins To Stay Alive and Weighs The Same As An Eight Year Old

This is a long one but WELL worth the read… amazing story!

Lizzie Velasquez weighs just 56lbs and has almost zero per cent body fat but she’ll be the first to tell you she’s not anorexic.

The 21-year-old from Austin, Texas, actually eats every 15 minutes just to stay healthy.

The Texas State University student has a condition that is so rare, there are only three known cases in the world. It prevents her from gaining weight even though she eats up to 60 small meals a day.

She consumes between 5,000 and 8,000 calories a day but her weight has never tipped over 60 pounds.

‘I weigh myself regularly and if I gain even one pound I get really excited,’ 5ft 2ins Lizzie said.

‘I eat small portions of crisps, sweets, chocolate, pizza, chicken, cake, doughnuts, ice cream, noodles and pop tarts all day long, so I get pretty upset when people accuse me of being anorexic.’
Lizzie was born four weeks prematurely weighing just 2lb 10oz. Doctors found there was minimal amniotic fluid protecting her in the womb.
‘They told us they had no idea how she could have survived,’ said Lizzie’s mother Rita, 45, a church secretary.

‘We had to buy dolls’ clothes from the toy store because baby clothes were too big.’

Doctors could not make a diagnosis so they prepared Lizzie’s parents for the worst.
‘They told us she would never be able to walk, talk or have a normal life,’ said Rita who has two other children with Lizzie’s father Lupe, 44. Lizzie’s siblings Chris, 12, and Marina, 15, are both of average height and weight.

Despite the grim prognosis Lizzie’s brain, bones and internal organs developed normally but she was always very small.

At the age of two she was still only 15lbs – the same as the average five-month-old baby.

‘I was normal but really, really tiny,’ said Lizzie, who underwent numerous tests at the St David’s Medical Centre in Austin with inconclusive results.
Doctors speculated Lizzie might have the genetic disorder De Barsy syndrome but soon ruled it out as it became clear she did not have learning difficulties.

Doctors then discovered she had gone blind in that eye.
‘They still don’t know why it happened but now I have one blue and one brown eye.’

In high school Lizzie made friends and gradually came to accept her appearance.
‘I started to think: ‘Well this is me, like it or lump it,” said Lizzie.

‘I was always the one at the top of the pyramid during cheerleading,’ she added.
Lizzie has a weak immune system and has been in hospital many times after catching numerous illnesses.

Lizzie’s case has fascinated doctors all over the world and she is part of a genetic study run by Professor Abhimanyu Garg, M.D. at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
Professor Garg and his team now believe Lizzie may have a form of Neonatal Progeroid Syndrome (NPS) which causes accelerated ageing, fat loss from the face and body, and tissue degeneration. People with PRS often have triangular and prematurely aged faces with a pointy nose.

Lizzie doesn’t take medication but she relies on vitamin supplements and iron to stay healthy. It is thought she should be able to conceive naturally without passing the condition to her children.
She added: ‘I do all the things my friends do, shopping, movies and parties.

‘But I hate it when people stare, or make comments. When I meet new people I have to say: “Hi, I’m Lizzie and I have this rare syndrome, I am NOT anorexic.”‘

Currently there is no cure but her doctors predict if Lizzie keeps eating she has a bright future ahead of her.
She insisted: ‘I’m happy the way I am and this syndrome has made me the person I am’
Lizzie hopes to become a motivational speaker when she graduates.

‘I want to make a positive difference in people’s lives and show them that you can get through most hardships if you are strong, positive and have a sense of humour,’ she said.

Lizzie has also co-authored a book about her incredible experiences. It is due to be released in late September and will be available on Amazon.

Crazy..

fags Police Taser 86 Year old Bed Ridden For Resisting Arrest?! WTF!

Lonnie Tinsley of El Reno, Oklahoma made a nearly fatal mistake last December 22 when he went to check on his grandma, Lona Varner.

Concerned that Lona hadn’t taken her medications, Lonnie called 911 in the expectation that an emergency medical technician would be dispatched to the apartment to evaluate the bedridden 86-year-old woman.

Instead, that call for help was answered by nearly a dozen armed tax-feeders employed by the El Reno Police Department.

Understandably alarmed — and probably more than a little disgusted — by the presence of uninvited armed strangers in her home, Lona ordered them to leave. This directive, issued by a fragile female octogenarian confined to a hospital-style bed and tethered to an oxygen tank, was interpreted as “aggressive” behavior by Officer Thomas Duran, who ordered one of his associates : “Taser her!”

“Don’t taze my granny!” exclaimed Tinsley. According to a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court, Tinsley’s “obstructive” behavior prompted the police to threaten him with their tasers. He was then was assaulted, removed from the room, thrown to the floor, handcuffed, and detained in a police car. At this point, the heroes in blue turned their attention to Lona.

The tactical situation was daunting; at this point, the police had only a 10-1 advantage over a subject who — according to Duran’s official report — had taken an “aggressive posture” in her hospital bed. The sacred imperative of “officer safety” dictated that the subject be thoroughly softened up in order to minimize resistance.

Accordingly, one of the officers approached Lona and “stepped on her oxygen hose until she began to suffer oxygen deprivation,” narrates the complaint, based on Lona’s account. One of the officers then shot her with a taser, but the connection wasn’t solid. A second fired his Taser, “striking her to the left of the midline of her upper chest, and applied high voltage, causing burns to her chest, extreme pain,” and unconsciousness. Lona was then handcuffed with sufficient ruthlessness to tear the soft flesh of her forearms, causing her to bleed.

After her wounds were treated at a local hospital, Lona was confined for six days in the psychiatric ward at the insistence of her deranged assailants from the El Reno Police Department.

Does it get ANY more fucked up than THIS??!?

Interim Seattle Police Chief John Diaz has launched a global review of arrest tactics in the wake of video of showing a Seattle police officer punching a teen following a jaywalking stop.

Stressing that the move does not reflect a judgment on Officer Ian Walsh’s actions during the Monday afternoon altercation, acting Deputy Chief Nick Metz announced the move at a news conference Tuesday morning in response to a bystander’s’ video of the incident.

“We are withholding judgment on the officer’s actions,” Metz said Tuesday. “That’s one of the things we do during an investigation here.”

The video, widely publicized since Monday evening, shows Walsh punch a 19-year-old woman who had grabbed him as he was trying to arrest another teen at a South Seattle intersection.

About 3:10 p.m. Monday, Walsh saw several people unlawfully cross Martin Luther King Jr. Way South near the arterial’s intersection with Rainier Avenue South, according to a report issued by another officer. Rather than use a pedestrian overpass, the group wandered across the busy street.

Walsh stopped and ordered a 17-year-old girl to stop as she walked away from him. When she didn’t, he tried to pull her back to the scene, and the jaywalking arrest took a violent turn.

Video shows Walsh, a four-year veteran with the department assigned to the South Precinct’s patrol division, wrestling with the girl in an attempt to place her under arrest. When another woman grabbed him, he punched her in the face.

A bystander pulled the second woman away as Walsh continued to struggle with the 17-year-old. Both teens were ultimately arrested and have been jailed.

Addressing the incident Tuesday, Metz said a use-of-force review is continuing. He said the department also initiated a complaint to the Office of Professional Accountability, the civilian-led board that reviews complaints of police misconduct.

Metz said he and other leaders in the department are not prepared to pass judgment on the officer’s actions or those of the young women until those reviews and the criminal investigation are complete. Walsh has been transferred to the training division for several days to review arrest procedures.

The review of arrest tactics and training ordered by Interim Chief Diaz will be global in nature and separate from the use-of-force review currently underway, Metz said. The move, he said, should not be seen as a criticism of Walsh’s actions.

“Force never looks good,” Metz said. “It’s never pretty.”

“We do have some concerns about the tactics the officer used,” the deputy chief continued, adding that “these women do have to bear most of the responsibility for what occurred. … Whether or not you think an arrest is lawful … does not give you the right to resist that arrest.”

Tough call… There was a bunch of ratchedness going on and all but I don;t think there’s any reason to deck a chick over a jaywalking charge (misdemeanor)..

Awesome news! Abby Sunderland, the 16-year-old Southern California student attempting to become the youngest person to sail around the world solo, has been found safe and alive in the Indian Ocean. An Australian rescue team was able to locate Abby early Friday after her badly-damaged boat went off radar two days ago.

This crazy ordeal has sparked a national debate over whether teenagers should be circling the globe in a boat by themselves.  (Probably not a good idea).

Regardless, glad she’s safe!
